The new version contains a number of important changes such as the total reimbursement by DNS BE of the procedure costs (1.620, 00 EUR) of the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to the complainant, if he wins the procedure. DNS BE also introduces the principle that “cybersquattors” have to intervene indirectly in the total cost of the ADR (1.620, 00 EUR). DNS BE also states it will claim back all reimbursed costs from the former holder who has been obliged to give up the domain name. A number of other modifications are more of legal and technical nature and do not affect the content.
The new version of the Terms & Conditions (version 4.2) will apply on 15th February 2009 for all .BE domain name holders and new registrations.
