How to Create Shared Access in EuroDNS
Step 1: Create a Shared Access Group
Start by logging in to your EuroDNS account and navigating to the Shared Access section.
- Open Shared Access and select Groups.
- Create a new group.
- Give your group a recognizable name, such as "Marketing Team" or "Finance Department".
- Complete the required information and save your group.
Groups help you organize users who need similar access to your EuroDNS account.
Step 2: Configure Roles and Permissions
Roles determine what users are allowed to do within your account. You can assign permissions based on their responsibilities, helping you maintain control over your domains and services.
- Navigate to Shared Access and select Roles.
- Review the available roles or create a new one.
- Select the permissions appropriate for the user's responsibilities.
- Save your role once you've configured the settings.
For better account security, we recommend giving users only the permissions they need to perform their tasks.
Step 3: Organize Your Domains into Folders
Folders help you organize domains and determine which resources users can access.
- Open the Folder Manager in your EuroDNS account.
- Create a new folder and give it a descriptive name.
- Add the relevant domains to your folder.
- Save your changes.
For example, if you manage domains for several clients or departments, you can organize them into separate folders to make access management easier.
Step 4: Add a Shared Access User
Once you've configured your groups, roles and folders, you're ready to add another user.
- Navigate to Shared Access and select Users.
- Create a new user and enter the required details.
- Configure their group membership, role and access settings as appropriate.
- Review the information and save your changes.
Make sure the user has the appropriate permissions and access to the domains they need to manage.
Step 5: Review and Manage Access
After creating your shared access users, take a moment to review their permissions and assigned resources.
As your team changes, you can return to the Shared Access section to review user settings and adjust access when necessary.
