To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, .ART Registry has launched a bold new initiative: the .ART Digital Twin Award. This global award isn’t just about finished artworks. It’s about something deeper: the journey behind them.
A new kind of art award
The .ART Digital Twin Award redefines how artistic excellence is recognized. Instead of focusing solely on the final piece, it shines a light on the creative process: how ideas emerge, evolve, and take shape over time.
Open to creators aged 18 and above, the award is fully inclusive and welcomes participants from all disciplines, backgrounds, and regions. Whether you’re a painter, performer, digital artist, or working with AI-generated media, your work and your story have a place here.

More than a submission: a digital presence
What makes this award truly unique is how artists participate.
Instead of submitting a single file or portfolio, artists create a dedicated website on a .ART domain. This site becomes a living, evolving space: a “digital twin” of their artwork.
- Sketches and drafts
- Research materials
- Written reflections
- Videos or sound recordings
- Behind-the-scenes documentation
It’s not about web design. It’s about storytelling. The jury evaluates the artistic vision, process, and narrative, not the aesthetics of the website itself.

A truly global initiative
The award is designed to reach artists everywhere. Through an ambitious global outreach strategy, .ART aims to connect with creators across cultures, disciplines, and career stages.
An international jury, composed of curators, artists, editors, and art journalists, will bring diverse perspectives to the selection process, ensuring a fair and meaningful evaluation.
Significant recognition and rewards
With more than $50,000 in total prize value, the award offers both visibility and financial support to artists pushing boundaries. The First Prize alone includes a $15,000 cash award.
Winners will be announced on 25 October 2026, in celebration of International Artist Day: a fitting moment to highlight creativity on a global stage.
How to participate
Getting started is simple. Artists can create their digital twin by building a dedicated .ART website and submitting it through the official award platform.

Why this matters
At its core, the .ART Digital Twin Award reflects a bigger shift in how art lives online.
Today, an artist’s digital presence is no longer just a portfolio. It’s an extension of their work. By encouraging creators to document and share their process, this initiative bridges the gap between art, technology, and storytelling.
For artists, it’s an opportunity to be seen not just for what they create, but for how they create it.
